Hello. It’s autumn. When the leaves fall and I can wear a jacket and not get too hot. And when it rains and I’ve lost yet another umbrella I can get wet. I hate summer clothes with its shorts and t-shirts and I’m glad to be packing them away after our brief period of sunny warmth and am ready to embrace the bleak seasons with joy in my heart and hopefully a new coat that both fits and is reasonably priced at TKs soon.
Meanwhile, here’s a tune from my EP which you can purchase both as a physical and virtual object. If you’ve seen me live then these songs are old (classics), but they’re not old, they’re new and exciting. I recently went into the studio and laid down some songs and you can listen to them by clicking the Music button I’ve handily embedded a track from The Awkward EP here…
I am really delighted to have produced this EP and particularly happy to have recorded Henri – it’s a song I often play live with the help of an audience member translating the lyrics. But when I play it live it has to be an edited version otherwise it’d take up the whole show and test the patience of even the most dedicated audience member, so I’ve recorded the full song as it was originally written and it sounds ace – with some not insignificant help from Gus Bousfield in his studio and with his double bass plucking.
