These are five things I did this weekend rather than today. This will give you a fascinating insight into my leisure time.
1. Went to Paignton for my friend’s birthday weekend. The journey was hideous, but the destination and event were worth it.
2. Visited Paignton Zoo as (less debauched) part of the festivities. I liked the zoo, it seemed like a good one – I had been there before when I was little, but that was a long time ago. My favourite animals were the poisonous frogs and the orangutans.
3. Ate, drank and made merry. It was my friend Mark’s birthday – here’s a video of him with his chickens. I would like to see him on the television as he’s very entertaining and clever.
4. Drove from Paignton to London, but not in an advanced fashion. Mark is a member of the Insitute of Advanced Motorists and I can only dream of driving in the safe and efficient manner that he does (with a certificate to prove it too).
5. Watched Local Hero, which is a lovely film.

Mark is indeed an Advanced Motorist. I am going to be learning to drive soon and could learn a lot from Fantastic Mr Foxsmith.
